I now prepare to travel to my next destination, India. I am sad to leave behind Australia and the Aborigines people but I am also excited to get to the next spot in my journey. I leave Australia on Monday, June 28th on a flight to Madurai. I arrive in Madurai on Tuesday, June 29th. My flight costs $1,005.10.

From Maduari I will be traveling to the village of a group of indigenous people. The government refers to them as "Scheduled Tribes". They have a very high poverty rate and are among the poorest in the country. Most of India's indigenous tribes have been forest dwellers for centuries. The forest is where they get all of their food and medicinal needs. Now majority of these people are involved in agriculture and farming. These people were the first to arrive in India and are believed to be those of the haplogroup M.
